with the expansion from 65 to 68 the NCAA had add a few play in games

in the new play in games they will have the last 4 bubble teams and last 4 overall seeds play in it

The last 4 bubble teams will duel in 2 of the games, meaning the usual last 2 out would have a chance to play into the 64 team field this time

and the last 4(65-68) teams would duel it out to play into the field of 64

thoughts on this idea?

and it is the 1st time the committee will actually tell us who the last 4 in are

I actually think this might be...cooler. Really good games/good exposure for smaller teams. I'm glad UCLA's AD didn't fuck it up or I wouldn't have been able to live it down after such weird tourney seedings this past season.

I like this idea. Gives more bubble teams opportunities to get in the big dance (i.e., I was rooting for Mississippi and NC State to get in this past year, didn't happen).

Yep last year the matchups would have been a combo of

UTEP or Utah State.vs.Virginia Tech or Mississippi

with the bottom 4, 16 seeds facing off. I like the way the NCAA went about it this year
