My pick is Tim Duncan,what's yours?

I would pick KG over Duncan, but Big Ben is probably the best.

Ben Wallace. He IS defense.

I mean he made a living off defense.....and was actually a well respected player until his second year in Chicago maybe

I'm not sure there is a single stand out defender outside of Wallace.

Obviously Ben Wallace is a great choice (based on awards and results), but players like Bowen and Battier should get some love too even if they don't get as much recognition.

Tim is still a solid player on D, but his best defensive years were in the late 90's and early 2000's.

Personally I'd say:
1. Wallace
2. KG
3. Duncan
4. Artest
5. Bowen

I feel Kobe should be mentioned here. as well as Camby.

Artest can guard virtually all positions. well.

Artest gets owned when he trys to gaurd faster players. I agree with ben wallace

Guys like Wallace or Dwight were just straight up shot blockers, whether it be help defense or a one on one matchup.

KG could switch off to the smaller man and take him out of the possession, still one of the best help defenders as he could help out on your man while still shutting down his, and on top of all that could do what Wallace does.

If it were to be perimeter defenders, I'd have to say either Kobe, Artest, or Batter. Out of the three.... Kobe.

Oh. When I saw Wallace's prime I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade so that's all I remember of him. lol.

I remember watching Tim Duncan when i was 4 years old

I still remember,Timmy covering everything inside the paint,blocking shots,guarding his man and doing everything what it takes

I'm going Wallace...he's the definition of defense.
