Blake Griffin is mostly athleticism, no skill.
Give Pau Gasol his athleticism, he'd be the best Power Forward in the history of the league and would average around 20/15/6

Yeah. Keep thinking that.

I guess you didn't see the game. He was making jumpers and post plays.

If Blake Griffin was 7 feet tall, he would average 25/16/4.

If Blake Griffin had Pau Gasol's basketball IQ, he would average 31/14/5.

If Blake Griffin had Pau Gasol's shooting touch, he would average 30/14/3.

If Eric Gordon wasn't on the Clippers, Blake Griffin would average 28/13/3.

If Phil Jackson was the Clippers' coach, Blake Griffin would average 22/13/2.

You can throw in a lot of "what if's", but the point is, if you had a remote clue about basketball, or god forbid you WATCHED Blake Griffin once in awhile (i.e. today), you would realize that while he does score a lot of points on fast break dunks, layups, etc., he is starting to grow a natural feel for the game. His jump shot is still inconsistent, but when it's on, like it was today, he's virtually unstoppable. He has a large array of post moves that may not be as spectacular as Pau Gasol's or Tim Duncan's, but still get the job done down low. Name calling on the Internet is for morons, but you, sir, are a complete idiot if you state something as ridiculous as "Blake is all athleticism, no skill."

Oh, so I guess that's why Blake Griffin attempts a jumpshot 53% of the time he has the ball, attempts a post move 32% of the time, and only attempts a dunk 10% of the time he has the ball? Strange...

Are you fucking serious? Because if you are, that may have been the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Of course he shoots the ball at a higher percentage when he dunks, what kind of statement is that? I'm not even going to comment anymore about it.

Hmm, Dwight Howard attempts 70% of his shots from inside the paint. Blake Griffin attempts 47%. What a GREAT comparison.

The difference is that Dwight Howard is a Center, Blake Griffin is a Power Forward

Ok, I'll dumb it down for you Very Happy.

YOO R STOOPID BCUZ BLAYKE GRIFFIN NO ALL ATHLETICISM HE HAZ SKEEL TOO. HIS JUMPY JUMPSHOT NO BANG BANG BANG BUT IT GETTING THERE. HE NO POW GASSHOLE OR TIMMY DUNCAN BUT HE CAN FINISH IN PAINTED AREA. YOO = STOOPID

Blake Griffin has no skills whatsoever
Anyone with his vertical can jump -_-
Kobe Bryant = Ski
lls

Oh, so I guess that's why Blake Griffin attempts a jumpshot 53% of the time he has the ball, attempts a post move 32% of the time, and only attempts a dunk 10% of the time he has the ball? Strange...

Yet he shoots a higher % when he dunks
Blake Griffin is good, but it's mainly due to his athleticism
Prime example: Dwight How
ard

"Yet he shoots a higher % when he dunks"

Are you fucking serious? Because if you are, that may have been the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Of course he shoots the ball at a higher percentage when he dunks, what kind of statement is that? I'm not even going to comment anymore about it.

Hmm, Dwight Howard attempts 70% of his shots from inside the paint. Blake Griffin attempts 47%. What a GREAT comparison.

The difference is that Dwight Howard is a Center, Blake Griffin is a Power Forward
They are similar in that they are extremely overrated, and would be lucky enough to start without their athleticism

Oh, and sweet i
con

Uhh, if you didn't notice, we're talking about basketball, not golf. I assure you, if you took away ALL of Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard's athleticism, they would not be the only ones not playing in the NBA. And plus, I already explained it to you. Blake Griffin attempts jumpshots 53% of the time and makes it 45%. For a rookie PF who isn't generally thought of to be a shooter, that's pretty damn good.

And how the fuck is Blake Griffin overrated? The only praise people are giving him is the fact that he'll be the ROY. There's no disputing that. I haven't seen ANYONE say "Blake Griffin is the best PF in the game" or "Blake Griffin is the best big man", it's all "Blake has the most hops" or "Blake is the next big thing". Instead of stating things based on opinion, try stating something based on facts. Just once. Or twice.

Actually, Gasol would get more like 25 points if Kobe wasn't there Smile

Michael Jordan is overrated. Shaq is overrated. LeBron is overrated. Wade is overrated. Kobe is overrated. Clyde Drexler is overrated. Dominique Wilkins is overrated. Hakeem Olajuwon is overrated. Derrick Rose is overrated. Charles Barkley is overrated. Dr J is overrated.
