PostSubject: Bulls? Bucks? What about the Pacers?   Fri Nov 26, 2010 11:50 am

Everyone was picking either the Bulls or Bucks to win the Central division this year.. but almost a month into the season, I'm starting to think Indiana is gonna push for the division title.

They're still pretty streaky though.. they play one good game then have a bad game 2 days later. And after this thread, they could lose 10 straight and I would obviously take this back...

but I'm starting to worry about Indiana. They look pretty good so far.

You know what would be weird? Seeing Indiana at a 3rd or 4th seed in the East. The winners of the division get a Top 4 spot depending on their record compared to the other division winners and the best team without the division title.

So it could very well look like this.

Celtics
Magic
Pacers
Bulls

You are right. And they have been facing a lot of good teams.

Bucks are underperforming but they had a tough schedule.

No matter what happens, I see them in the playoff picture this season.

Ehh. The pacers are still extremely young, but they have great offensive outbursts. I think they'll slow down after the all star break, but they're definately a team to watch for next year.

The Bucks are gonna get it together, im pretty sure they got the no. 1 defense in the league and they have a lot of injuries. Once Bogut is 100% and some of their banged up role playerse get healthy they're gonna be real tough on o and d.

chicago obviously is gonna make the playoffs. probably win the division.

yeah the bucks have the best D in terms of points allowed.. but their offense is shit. Last in points scored. and as a team their shooting 41% from the field. awful.

the central division is weird this year.. the pistons are better than expected, the bucks are worse than expected, the pacers are a little bit better than expected, the cavs are kinda where most people had them as well as the bulls. it's pretty tight though.

I sorta like the Pacers after watching them tonight. Too bad they became sorta inept in the 4th quarter.

RW fuckin snapped. Poor Collison.
Indy couldn't take advatage of KD/Green's combined 13/42 shooting.
OKC hitting 18 more free throws also helped them win.
Still liked the way Indy played against a tough team though.

yeah.. he gets more calls than the average PG. After tonight's game, he'll be averaging 9.6 FT's a game for the year. That's... a lot.

especially for a guy who's only shooting 42.9 percent. that's Iverson-like, and last I checked Westbrook was not Iverson, lol.

And Boozer/Noah will destroy other frontcourts when it comes to rebounding...Gasol/Bynum or Odom/Gasol might stand a chance but Boozer and Noah are looking scary...then the scoring load can be taken off of Rose a bit with AT LEAST 15 a game from Boozer

Because good rebounders are good rebounders. I'm not so certain their offense will be spectacular, but they should clean up the boards as well as anyone.

But you didn't get it. He said "are looking". Doesn't this mean, "right now"?

Lol sorry for the confusion

I meant when you put in Boozer's usual 10 boards a game plus Noah's usual 630 rebounds a game, you have probably the best rebounding frontcourt in the NBA. Then you even make up for the lack of Chicago's frontcourt scoring with Boozer's beast post moves.

Boozer can make up for Noah's lack of offense, Noah can make up for Boozer's lack of defense to create a solid frontcourt.
