I'm going with Kevin Love since he has a little more experience playing in the NBA than Griffin. Of course, my opinion (along with everyone else's) will prolly change a few months/years from now.

Kevin Love is better than Blake Griffin in all aspects of the game, enough said.

Still Griff.

Love will be who he is for most of his career. Griff has the tools to be a top flight dominant player, with a whole lot of upside and improvement. It is Blake's first full year in the NBA, and Love's third with no Al Jefferson to eat up rebounds that Love wouldn't get.

The biggest thing is that they're both on poor teams. You can only really see their true potential if they are a part of elite teams or their own team reaches elite status.

Till then, they're both really great young players on bad teams.

Get off Blake Griffin's cock, retard.

Offense: Kevin Love, not even close.
Note: Without Griffin's athleticism, would this even be questioned?
Defense: Pick your poison, but Love has been better this season defensive
ly.

Offense: Griffin, the only thing Kevin does better on offense is shoot 3's which isn't the main thing you look for in a big man... Blake is a monster in the paint. I'd take a monster in the paint who can't shoot, over a big man who is a decent shooter, but can't do shit in the paint.

Defense: Love is shit on defense, Blake isn't that good on D either. But way better than Love.

... It's not even fair to take away Blake's main attribute in this argument, I'm just gonna let that slide..

Kevin Love is a better shooter, Blake Griffin is a better scorer.
But, the one thing that gives Love the edge is that Griffin relies 99% of his offensive game on his athleticism, while Love uses sheer skill.

Defense, pick your pois
on.

My goodness.... stop saying that about his athleticism... Blake is better on offense, that's just a fact. Saying " If he didn't have his athleticism " doesn't change that fact. And what is all this skill you say Love has on offense? All he can do is shoot.... lets see him use this "skill" to score in the paint. And Blake is much better on defense, atleast he has his size, strength, and athleticism to do SOMETHING on defense.... Love plays zero defense.

you don't have a clue about loves game. He can score in the post, really well. And his defense is better than griffins easily. He played excellent defense on bosh this year holding him to 13 on 4-12,he shut down dirk holding him to 10 points on 4-13,held amare to 14 pts on 6-15,played decently vs gasol keeping his at a modest (for gasol) 16 pts 6-14,against blake griffin he got 20 pts (around his average..ok) but he only grabbed 10 boards (the game against minn is slam in the middle of games where he was grabbing 14-18 boards),he turned david lee into a non-factor keeping him at 10 pts.... With the exception of amare, love is winning all his matchups against the top forwards...now blake has had some good defensive standings against some guys but when you talk about consistent defense..it goes to kevin hands-down.

He scores in the post really well?? Go back to Ryan's post... he provided stats showing that Love sucks in the paint and that Griffin is one of the best in the paint...

the company he said love was with doesnt take alot of inside shots, thats why there percentage is higher. and blake shoots 68% because he duns which again says he wouldnt be shit without athleticism, and kevin is still shooting 58% down there...so like..where did you get that kevin cant score in the paint well? :/

Kevin Love uses skill/finesse while Blake Griffin uses athleticism.
Which usually goes further career-wi

And Blake is a rookie. Stop saying that athleticism BS. Not many rookies who were athletic freaks as rookies had this so called "skill"( LeBron, Amar'e, ect).. but developed it over the years... I think it's cuz Blake is so amazing as a rook that you tend to forget he's even a rookie, which leads you into saying such stupid things.

Blake Griffin isn't a rookie -_-
He is only one year removed from Love's rookie season -_-

Kevin Love his rookie/sophomore season was averaging 10/9 and 14/11 coming off the bench

He's been in the league since '09, although he hasn't played, he has the benefits of preparing and watching on the sidelines of what to expect, unlike rookies like John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins.

Technically he's still a rookie. But I agree he should be considered a 2 year player because like you said..he has a definite advantage

Technically, yes
Realistically, no

Understood?

Also, how many rookies last decade came off the bench nearly averaging 10/10 for their rookie season, and then their sophomore season still on the bench averaging 14/
11?
