| He is the MVP of the league and isn't even gonna start on the all-star game? |

| yeah but Paul George has been playing pretty good off the bench lately so that means the Pacers may part ways with Granger. |

| West Starting Forwards: Carmelo Anthony Kevin Durant
Games Played: Melo - 47 Durant - 47 Dirk - 44
PPG: Durant - 29.0 Melo - 25.0 Dirk - 22.7
RPG: Melo - 7.7 Durant - 7.1 Dirk - 6.8
APG: Melo - 2.8 Durant - 2.8 Dirk - 2.5 *But we can ignore this since PFs aren't really expected to get a lot of assists
Dirk wins FG% + 3P%, but comes in second in FT% to Durant. Carmelo is last in all of these three categories, so we can say it's about even. Durant is a clear all-star starter so the debate really is Melo and Dirk.
With all of the trade rumors going around with Carmelo, he's gotten attention. Whether it be positive or negative, Carmelo has gotten a lot of attention, and a lot of heads have been raised in his direction, and the way he is handling the situation should be noticed. He isn't letting it affect his game and in my opinion, he's played better since the trade rumors than before. To not let the trade rumors get to your head and still perform at an all-star level is amazing. He also has gotten a lot more rebounds this year, putting together 11 games with 10+ rebounds, and even grabbed 20 rebounds one game. I don't know if Dirk has ever done that in his whole career. Dirk is 5 inches taller than Carmelo, but has put up 9 games of 10+ rebounds. Another spot where Carmelo shines is offensive rebounding. O-Rebounding is usually overlooked, but it's a great way to check hustle and following your shot. Dirk has 25 o-boards all year. Carmelo has 76.
Yes, Dirk wins the shooting percentages, which is great, but shooting better than Carmelo should not be enough to overcome Melo's advantages in PPG, RPG, APG, and hustle points on offensive rebounding to put him over Melo. Nene leads the league in FG% with 64% and puts in 15.2 PPG and 7.2 RPG, but that didn't get him the reserve spot over Tim Duncan, who shoots 48% while putting up 13.5 PPG and 9.3 RPG. If about 3 points and 16% higher shooting can't get a spot over 2.1 rebounds, then I don't know how higher shooting percentages should get a spot over higher points, rebounds, and assists. _________________ |

Yes. Granger isn't a first option. He should come to the Mavericks. |

| He's never started in an All-Star game.
Ever.
Even in his MVP season he didn't start.
In the long run it doesn't matter. He still made the team.
