of those posters who are just out for the number of posts and don't care for quality posts. Why did the Timberwolves trade Al Jefferson anyways, to make room on the boards for Kevin Love? Not that he isn't a good player - but there has been some questionable moves made in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

to me, Al and Kevin were similar players. Al just couldn't shoot the 3.

Both pretty poor defenders, both were good rebounders, both were good in the post, etc.

so I think that's why they got rid of Al. He and Kevin just didn't play well together. I don't think that fixed anything though since the T-Wolves still suck... haha

They traded him for nothing in my opinion. I'm not sure why they would get rid of him for something so little in return. It's all Kevin Love now, no denying it's his team. I guess.

Thanks for the input.

I agree. Another reason for me to say Blake > Love. Very Happy

they basically traded him for cap space. The T-Wolves are now 11 million under the cap and will fare well under the new CBA that will be put in place.

They could have gotten back some talent though haha

I think it's because Jefferson has limited potential. Plus, both him and Love didn't play well together and the Timberwolves franchise choose to go with a younger more versatile and cheaper player.

Al is a solid player, but he was also a hard person to play with. Jefferson is one of the black hole type players who stop the ball on offense and rarely pass back out. Al Jefferson was definitely a numbers guy in Minnie. He has a different role in Utah and I'm pretty sure he's happier winning...

Also, it's also been reported that he's not exactly a great locker room guy.

He butted head with Rivers, Rambis and Sloan.

Kevin Love is a better rebounder + shooter
Love will leave and head for OKC anyways

I've actually heard him speak about that with Bill Simmons.

His roommate and closest friend at UCLA was Russell Westbrook and he's good friends with Durant. Plus he'd be a great fit on that team.

He didn't say he was going to leave... but he didn't say he was gonna' stay either.

It's in that Dwight Howard to NY/LA/ALT rumor range.

Mostly just talk.

For now.

This changes my perspective a bit, but still get some talent in return - didn't they cop Kosta Koufus.
