Sweet 16 time!

Match 1

So King Geno continues his reign of dominance. If you didn't know already, six of the players on the US women's basketball team from the 2010 FIBA World Championships are from UConn (Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Ashja Jones, Diana Taurasi, Tina Charles, and yes Maya Moore even though she's not in the WNBA yet). That's how good UConn and its players have been once they made the pros. For now, Coach Auriemma will have to outdougie the Wizard of the Wizards.

Match 2:

The commish who isn't particularly popular but still manages to hold his own now squares off against KG, who was a babyfaced teen back in the day.

#1 Geno vs. #5 Wall - If Sue isn't good enough to beat Wall, her coach is more than enough to beat him. Geno wins even though I like Wall more.

#3 Commish vs. #15 KG - KG wins. Stern is more of a caretaker of the brand, though he has made some innovations like adding the D League and the WNBA. KG has been one of the top forwards in the game for over the last 10 years with great low post D, and a sick mid range game.

#1Wall.

#3. STERN... easily. He doesn't attack foreign point guards. He doesn't call people cancer patients. He doesn't act like an ass for winning one ring. KG used to verbally berate Wally Szczerbiak on the court during games and sucker-punched him in the jaw while Wally was on the trainer's table. He didn't hit Rick Rickert, a second round draft pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves, was apparently outplaying the team's mighty league MVP in a pickup game. The rookie's glory didn't last however, because Kevin Garnett unexpectedly landed a fist to the new guy's grill. Rick needed stitches to close a cut on his chin and had a chipped tooth. Nothing to joke about. While during a game versus Cleveland TNT aired a clip of him (I'm guessing unintentionally) looking up into the stands at The Q and calling the fans "fucking faggots".
