Iguodala for Ellis.

I like it for the Warriors. Iguodala can give you everything Ellis gave you, except he isn't as good of a scorer. But he's a much better defender, so it makes up for it. Plus the Warriors have Curry.

For the sixers... I guess it's okay. They can play Turner at SF more often if this happened... but idk how much better Ellis would make them.

Eh...idk if I like it. Would Iggy play SG? With the Warriors offense (if it's going to stay the same with Mark Jackson), you need to be able to shoot the three (Curry, Ellis, Wright, and hell even David Lee has range). Iggy can't do that consistently

Yeah, probably SG. I think that's his natural position anyway.

The offense wasn't going to stay the same with Jackson. The Warriors need a change.. they can't keep relying on their offense to win games. 106 PPG allowed last season? That's terrible. Iguodala would help improve that. They don't need to worry about scoring. Curry can score, Lee can score, Wright can shoot, Iguodala can score.

If the Warriors can find a good defensive big man, I think they'll be a well rounded team.. and could possibly make the playoffs next season.

They got Biedrans for a defensive big man. And Brandon Wright still I think. He sucks... but I like him.. so he's automatically good at everything.

The trade.... I dunno. Sixers need to throw in a little bit more. A scorer like Monta is special.

This is a good trade for both teams

Iggy is an all-around capable player who's excellent point forward and can help the Warriors in terms of finishing, defense, playmaking and additionally some scoring as well. They need a good defensive big, and that's a playoff team in there.

76ers profit from this as well. Now, they have a chance to develop Turner, Holiday and the rest who didn't get to show their potential because of Iggy and they get a proven scorer in Monta, and a capable guy in the clutch.

This helps out the Warriors more than Philly,

Evans will have a huge chance to fix his off and on (mostly off) rookie year.

Great move for the Warriors to fulfill their promise to season ticket holders, but I dunno if it's great for Philly, unless Evan Turner ends up being a pleasant surprise next year.

You trust that Biedrins wouls be a solid C for the Warriors? his offense is shit. He's a pretty good rebounder... and I guess an okay defender, but not great... and he can't even stay in the game long enough because he can pick up 3 fouls in a second. I've also seen an interview he had in his country and him talking about how he doesn't feel like he fits in the Warriors locker room and how he doesn't have any friends on the team or some shit.

Also... Yes, Monta is a good scorer. But so are a lot of players in the league. Monta isn't any more special than any of them... and I don't know if I would even say Monta's scoring is "special" at all. His stats are kinda inflated due to the offense he plays in. He was able to get a bunch of shots off because of their fast pace... Also he has led the league in MPG the last 2 seasons. Last year, he regularly played the whole entire game. Obviously your scoring numbers are gonna look good.if any player played 48 minutes a game regularly, their PPG average would go up by a couple of points.

yeah, he's still a good scorer, but I wanna see how he does and how his numbers look after he plays a season while averaging only 36 MPG and plays in a half-court offense most of the time, etc. etc.

Idk.. like I said, I think this trade would be better for Golden State.. so I don't think Philly should be the team giving up more.

Now the rumour is
Iguodala For Kayman

that would be increadible for the clippers and pretty good for the Sixers
but the sixers need one more thing from the Clips.

just saw that.

Philly would be stupid as fuck if they traded Iguodala for Kaman straight up.

This is a trade that doesn't help the team either way.

76ers get Ellis, whose a scorer and works hard late and is explosive. It sounds good, but then he'll have to take over a lot of responsibility on the 76ers and it messes up their line-up at forcing players at different positions.

Warriors get Iguodala, which is a better trade for them, they get a lot of the same that they had with Ellis on the scoring end but his defense is much better. Although, it also ruins their line-up, gets rid of Dorrell Wright out of the starting line-up who did incredibly well last season, and they have to force somebody else to play the SG position when Curry is healthy to play the PG.

Both in my opinion won't really help/hurt, but its a trade that is unnecessary and could work much better for different players. I say that the 76ers would be smart to trade away Iguodala but getting rid of him for Monta Ellis isn't the way to go.

I could see a nice Curry-Iggy duo in GSW.......not gonna lie that sounds pretty cool

IDK what the Sixers are thinking though. Yes they made the playoffs but they already got some decent guards and lets face it even with Ellis they probably aren't going far. They should ideally be shopping Iggy for draft picks. OVerall though Ellis will help

Although its sounds like a huge trade, it barely benefits either team. Both teams if anything need draft picks.

I don't know if Iggy would be able to take the second option role, because Steph Curry is no doubt the primary ballhandler should this trade happen. Chemistry issues, in my opinion.

Iggy averaged 14 points a game last year and when Phillly was hot down the stretch he had many many games with just 10 points and he didn't complain cause the sixers were winning. Iggy knows he's not a scorer, and shouldn't be a first option. He's a defensive specialist that can rebound and pass pretty well and that can make an open mid range shot and dunks. No chemistry issues with points and stuff, he just wants to win.

There's a difference between not being a scorer, and just not trying to score as much.

Iggy averaged 18.1, 18.8, and 19.9 PPG in 3 different seasons. Last season when he averaged 14, he only took 11 shots per game. That was because he had more scorers around him and became more of a passer. That's why he posted 6.3 APg, his career high.

I agree that he shouldn't be a #1 option, but Iggy is more than capable of averaging 20+ PPG. He just doesn't take as many shots as the top scorers in the league take because he passes the ball a lot.

Exactly. He went from 18 to 14 when he got help. he stopped forcing thigns. He knows he's not a scorer. He knows he's not a first option.

no. Just because a guy doesn't score as much doesn't mean he can't score/isn't a scorer.

He just chose not to score as much because there were more scorers around him.

If Ellis gets traded to... lets say the Bulls for example, and we had Rose, Ellis, Deng and boozer in the same line-up. Ellis would be forced to take a lot less shots since he would be playing with other guys that can score the ball. His scoring average would fall from 24 PPG to around 17-18 PPG. Maybe less. Does that mean monta isn't a scorer? No... it means he's taking less shots because there are other guys around him who can score/want the ball.

That was the case with Iggy. He probably isn't as good of a scorer as Kobe, Wade, Durant, etc. but that doesn't mean he isn't one, or can't be one. Those guys are just elite scorers. There's more average scorers like Iggy than there are average scorers like Iggy.

Also, last season he was dealing with a lot of nagging injuries and was less aggressive.

The fact that Iggy is so passive just shows that he shouldn't be a first option. Maybe not even 2nd option. He would be a great 3rd...

but I think he is more than capable of putting up points if he wanted to. His 20 PPG on 15 shots per game/46% shooting a couple of years ago tells me that. If he took close to 20 shots like most elite scorers do then he would also be scoring around 23 PPG and people would talk about how good of a scorer he is.
